CPLED is announcing an adjustment to PREP tuition for the Fall 2026 Accelerated intake and future intakes thereafter. Tuition for Fall Accelerated PREP will be $5,000, effective September 2026. Summer 2026 Accelerated and Standard PREP tuition will remain at $6,100.
With more candidates joining PREP through the Law Society of BC’s adoption of the program, CPLED can distribute program costs across a larger group. This allows us to reduce tuition fees for the September 2026 intake and future PREP intakes.
CPLED remains committed to excellence in legal education, and this tuition adjustment will not affect course content or delivery.
If you are a prospective candidate in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, or Nunavut, please submit an Expression of Interest form for Fall 2026 Accelerated PREP. This will help CPLED gauge interest and ensure we have the appropriate support in place. CPLED will make every effort to accommodate all interested candidates.
BC Candidates: If you are applying to the Law Society of British Columbia’s Law Society Admission Program (LSAP) and intend to register in September 2026 Accelerated PREP, please fill out an Intent to Register form for BC candidates only.
With the increased number of candidates and to provide added flexibility, CPLED will offer an additional Accelerated intake in February 2027.
For any inquiries regarding the tuition adjustment, please email admin@cpled.ca.
Why is the tuition changing now?
Increased candidate numbers and LSBC’s adoption of PREP in September 2026 allow CPLED to spread program costs across a larger group, which reduces the cost per person.
Will course quality or delivery change?
No. PREP content and delivery remain consistent across all intakes.
Is there a risk of limited spots for Fall Accelerated PREP?
CPLED will do its best to accommodate all interested candidates. Early expression of interest is encouraged. For prospective candidates in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, and Nunavut, please submit an Expression of Interest in Fall 2026 Accelerated PREP.
Can I request a refund for previous PREP payments?
No. The adjusted tuition fee of $5,000 applies to September 2026 onward. All past payments remain final.
Do I have to pay the tuition all at once?
No. CPLED offers payment plans with installments per phase. This option continues with the adjusted tuition.
Will this tuition adjustment affect the subsidies provided by participating law societies?
The tuition adjustment does not change how subsidies are administered. Subsidies are managed by each law society; CPLED does not issue them. For questions about subsidies, please contact your law society directly.
